Marvin Rhodes named Vice President/General Manager of KTTC Television Inc. in Rochester, Minnesota

ROCHESTER, Minn. (KTTC) – Marvin Rhodes has been named Vice President and General Manager of KTTC Television Inc. in Rochester, Minnesota effective January 21, 2019. Rhodes will also have oversight responsibilities with KXLT, the Fox affiliate in Rochester, as KTTC provides various services to KXLT through a shared services and joint sales agreement.

Rhodes comes to Rochester from Mankato, Minnesota where he has been General Manager of KEYC-TV, CBS and Fox, since 2013.

In making the announcement, Quincy Media Regional Vice President Jim McKernan had this to say; “We are pleased to have Marvin lead our exceptional team of broadcast and interactive professionals in Rochester. KTTC and KXLT are community focused television stations, providing the best in news, weather, sports and entertainment programming on multiple platforms for viewers in the region. Our networks, consisting of NBC, FOX, the CW, Heroes and Icons, and MeTV provide compelling programming. Our web and social media footprint is extensive as well, giving our customers a vast array of options. Marvin has a diversified background which will fit well with our Rochester operation.”

Marvin Rhodes has a strong television and business background which includes KEYC-TV, the Total Living Network, the TCT Network, KPTV-TV in Portland, Oregon, and KTVL-TV in Medford, Oregon. His community involvements include Past Chair of Dogs for the Deaf, Co-host of MDA Telethon in Oregon and Northern California, Board of Directors and Executive Committee of Greater Mankato Growth, Salvation Army of Mankato, and is currently a member of the Minnesota Broadcasters Association.

Marvin recently moderated a Governor’s race forum in Mankato and offered suggestions to Governor Walz and the other candidates at the time on ways the Legislature can run more efficiently and effectively.
