ROCHESTER, Minn. (KTTC) – February is breaking records as heavy snow continues to fall, but where does all of that snow go?
Snow removal is a big job, and it is not just the roads that need to be cleared.
The Soldiers Field Veterans Memorial is another location where snow removal is necessary.
KTTC crews stopped by Wednesday morning where Sentenced to Service work crews are doing their part in a big project.
“Feel better. I’ve taken from the community. It’s good to give back. It’s a good opportunity. It teaches us new skills and trades, how things are done,” said Sentence to Serve Detainee Andy Gaskill.
STS crews do work for Olmsted County and other non-profit groups.
Detainees can know they are benefiting the community while gaining valuable job skills.
