ROCHESTER, Minn. (KTTC) – It was a life changing event for future doctors studying at the Mayo Clinic.

Friday marked Match Day for fourth-year students at the Mayo Clinic Alix School of Medicine.

43 students are finding out the specialty and location of the residency program where they will train for the next three to seven years.

For the first time, Mayo medical students from Florida are taking part virtually.

Schools keep match results a secret until the celebratory reveal.

We’ll have more on Match Day, tonight on KTTC.
