ROCHESTER, Minn. (KTTC) – Parents had an unpleasant scare in a Rochester swimming pool after they learned that a man with a criminal past was in a hot tub with their children.

Police were called to the Apache Hotel Saturday night after parents reported a man exposing himself to children in a hot tub.

Police arrested 65-year-old Thomas Manion after he admitted to being in the hot tub.

Manion is reportedly not allowed to have contact with children as part of his probation.

Around 7 p.m., parents said they saw Manion pulling his trunks up from around his ankles when he was talking to six children between the ages of six and 10.

According to police, he denied exposing himself. The parents said that Manion also tried to touch the kids with his feet.

Police said Manion’s last conviction was out of Dakota County for a similar incident in Nov. 2017.
