Man arrested in Winona stabbing case

WINONA, Minn. (KTTC) – A 911 call just before 1:30 Monday morning drew Winona police and EMS personnel to the 400 Block of West 9th Street for a reported stabbing.

Responding officers found a 19-year-old man who’d been stabbed several times by an acquaintance. The victim was first taken to Winona Health, then Mayo Clinic Saint Marys.

The suspect left the scene by the time officers arrived. Police found him a short time later at a residence along the 300 Block of West 6th Street.

The suspect, unidentified Monday by Winona Police, is being referred to the Winona County Attorney’s Office for charges.
