ROCHESTER, Minn. (KTTC) – A driver lost control and crashed into a garage at Timberland Heights Apartments in Rochester.

First responders rushed to timberland heights on 41st street and 17th avenue northwest around 7 p.m. Three garage units are damaged, with belongings scattered across the pavement.

Ross Baker, captain of the Rochester Fire Dept. describes the incident, “the driver went through the side of the building over here and took out one of the load-bearing walls over here….up and over the lawn into the street, and then curled around into the driveway and ended up stopping in the lawn a block and a half away.”

Fire crews brought in wood beams to prevent the structure from collapsing.

Police say no one was injured and do not suspect alcohol or drugs played a role.

The crash remains under investigation.
