Eddie Money, ‘Two Tickets to Paradise’ singer, dies at 70

Hit-making musician Eddie Money died on Friday at the age of 70, according to Variety.

Money recently announced he was diagnosed with stage 4 esophageal cancer.

His family released the following statement on Friday:

“The Money Family regrets to announce that Eddie passed away peacefully early this morning. It is with heavy hearts that we say goodbye to our loving husband and father. We cannot imagine our world without him. We are grateful that he will live on forever through his music.”

Money had several hits in the 80s including “Take Me Home Tonight,” “Baby Hold On,” “Shakin” and “Two Tickets to Paradise.”
