Winona State Hosts First Session of Warrior Football Camps

WINONA, Minn. (KTTC) – The Winona State Warriors are hosting their first of two 3-day high school football camps as the football season inches closer and closer.

High school training camps are a little more than a month away, with the MSHSL allowing teams to officially practice August 12.

Teams will have to condition for one week before they are allowed to practice, so the work being done in Winona right now is critical for teams looking to get a jump-start on the season.

In all, ten teams are on campus, and Winona State Assistant Head Coach Cam Keller says there are two clear goals for every body at Maxwell Field.

“We have two things we want to get accomplished and one of them is to get as good as we can in three days but get out of here as healthy as possible,” Keller said. “I think for these guys to be able to get all the work in in a short amount of time, but keep these guys in the best possible condition that they can be in going into August is really our [top] priority.”

Session II of the Warrior Football Camps is July 15 – 17.
