Vikings Prepare for Preseason Home Opener

EAGAN, Minn. (KTTC) – The Vikings held a walk through at the T.C.O. Performance Center today in preparation for tomorrow’s game against the Seahawks.

It also marked the end of camp, as players will return home for the first time since the end of July as the regular season inches closer and closer.

In game two of the preseason, the starters typically get a quarter of work — sometimes more, sometimes less — as they try to work out the kinks of their offseason preparations.

However, eight-year veteran quarterback Kirk cousins says he won’t know about this team until almost a month into the regular season.

“I don’t think you know a lot about your football team until you’re two, three, four weeks into the season just because of the nature of it’s so hard to simulate what real Sundays are like in practice and preseason games,” he said. “Although, preseason games are a better feel for a real thing. We’ve got to go out and play and prepare and work. You do everything you can, but you still don’t really know [about your team] until you get into the year.”

The Vikings kick off tomorrow’s game against the Seahawks at 7 p.m. on our sister station FOX 47.
