Heavy Rainfall Sept. 4th & 5th, 2018

Several rounds of heavy rainfall soaked southeast Minnesota between the morning of September 4th and the 5th. This lead to flooding of area roads in the Rochester area and pushed area rivers to near flood stage. Despite seeing 3 to 7 inches of rain in places across Rochester, the flood protection around town helped to keep our area creeks along with the Zumbro River in check.

Here is a look at rainfall totals across Olmsted County and across southeast Minnesota and northeast Iowa between September 4th & 5th.
