A colder, but drier than average month of March for Rochester

It seems fitting that the final weekend of March ended up a bit colder than normal because that’s how we spent the majority of the month. That cold snap put an end to our pleasant spell of 11 consecutive days in the 40s, 50s, and 60s.

Looking at the climate statistics, we endured a rather chilly month overall with slightly drier than normal weather and a little more than half of the normal snowfall. It’s the third straight year in which we’ve registered less than the usual 8.7 inches of snowfall and the seventh time in the past eleven years.
