Cloudy skies made for a gloomy start to the weekend, with mild temperatures holding strong this afternoon in the lower 30s. Tonight, conditions will remain mild with overnight lows in the lower 20s and light winds out of the east. Clouds will slowly begin to decrease after the midnight hour.

High pressure takes control of the region on Sunday, bring a little sunshine along with it. Temperatures will continue to be seasonably mild in the lower 30s with partly sunny skies. Monday and Tuesday look to be the best days of the week with highs in the mid 30s with a mix of sun and clouds.

A shortwave of energy is expected to pass over our area late Tuesday, early Wednesday, and will drop outr temperatures closer to average in the mid 20s with partly sunny skies. Temperatures will rebound slightly into the upper 20s for Thursday with mostly cloudy skies.

Another incoming shortwave could bring a slight chance for snow showers late Thursday night to the area. Cooler Canadian air is expected to push into the Upper Midwest late in the week, dipping temperatures into the lower 20s for Friday and highs in the teens for next week.
