After near perfect conditions on Thursday, hot and humid weather will return to southeastern Minnesota for the weekend and through all of next week. Winds will start to shift tomorrow morning to the south-southwest and bring more moisture to the area. Dew points Friday will climb back into the upper 60s and lower 70s making conditions uncomfortable outside.
It’s shaping up to be an excellent pool type of weekend. Highs both Saturday and Sunday will be in the middle and upper 80s with some cities seeing highs near 90°. There are thunderstorm chances for both days, but the good news is storms will be extremely scattered both afternoons.
The heat and humid stick around for next week as well. Right now I have highs Monday through next Saturday in the middle and upper 80s with dew points staying in the lower 70s for most. This summer-like pattern will last pretty much through the rest of the month.
