A dry and quiet midweek

Remaining Ad Time Ad - 00:00

We are in for a cooler and more comfortable day as high pressure moves into the Upper Midwest. A few spotty showers may be possible before 8am with mostly cloudy skies likely throughout much of the day. Clouds will slowly begin to decrease by the late afternoon with seasonably cool temperatures in the lower 70s. Winds will be light out of the northeast at 5-10 mph.

Mostly clear skies are expected for tonight with calm southwest winds and lows in the mid 50s. Some areas could see fog development overnight that will linger into Thursday morning.

Areas of fog may be possible to start off Thursday morning with skies becoming partly sunny with highs in the mid 70s. Our break from the rain comes to an end Thursday night with a chance for showers and thunderstorms after midnight.

Scattered showers and thunderstorms will be possible throughout much of Friday with highs in the upper 70s. Periods of isolated showers and thunderstorms are possible throughout the weekend with partly sunny skies and highs in the upper 70s to lower 80s on Saturday and Sunday.

A quieter stretch of weather look to move into the region for next week, bringing mostly sunny skies and highs in the lower 80s for Monday and Tuesday.
