Storm chances are in the forecast

With a high-pressure system dominating the upper mid-west, dry and calm weather will remain in our region for the next 24 hours. Overnight lows will be in the lower 50’s with patchy fog in some areas in the morning.

Tomorrow will be mostly cloudy for most of the day, but in the later afternoon and evening hours, there is a chance for scattered showers or storms to pass through. Highs will be in the upper 70’s, and it will feel a little muggy outside during the day.

Friday, another system passes through the area, and along with it a chance for some isolated showers or thunderstorms throughout the afternoon. There will be a little more sunshine on Friday with highs near 80. Overnight lows will linger in the lower 60’s.

As of right now, the weekend looks like it is going to be overall dry and muggy, with a slight chance for an isolated shower during the heat of the day both Saturday and Sunday. Temperatures are jumping back around average for this weekend with highs in the lower 80’s. Next week temperatures continue to linger in the lower 80’s.
