Below normal temperatures continue

High-pressure will continue to dominate the forecast for the next several days. After beautiful conditions this week, we’ll have that trend continue into the weekend! Highs Friday will be right back in the middle and lower 70s with mostly sunny skies. Overnight lows Friday night into Saturday morning will be in the middle and lower 50s with mainly clear skies.

Highs this weekend will creep back into the upper 70s more near average for this time of year. If you’re heading to the Minnesota State Fair, it will be the perfect weekend to go! Highs Saturday will be around 76-79° with mostly sunny skies. Overnight lows Saturday into Sunday are expected in the lower 60s and upper 50s.

Sunday conditions will start off dry with partly cloudy skies. Rain chances do return to the forecast Sunday night into Monday and we could be looking at rain chances throughout the daytime hours on Monday. I have upped the precip chances to Monday to account for the possibility of widespread rainfall during the day. Severe weather doesn’t look likely at this time, but that could change with new data.

Late next week we could be looking at temperatures not making it to 70 degrees for highs and overnight lows falling below 50 degrees in Rochester. It will be a very unseasonably cool Labor Day weekend.
