Record-Breaking cold weather continues

Remaining Ad Time Ad - 00:00

We’ve been cold for the past several weeks and we finally broke a record this morning in Rochester. The all-time record low-temperature was broken this morning when temperatures at KRST dropped to 0°. This beat the previous daily low-temperature record set back in 1991.

More record-breaking temperatures could be on the way for early next week. Before the arctic air makes another return Monday, temperatures warm near 40° on Saturday with partly cloudy skies during the early afternoon. Clouds begin to build into the forecast for the evening and some patchy drizzle/flurries will be possible overnight.

As we head towards next week the cold weather will be the major story weather-wise. Highs on Monday and Tuesday will be in the middle and upper teens with overnight lows approaching 0° for many communities. We don’t get much relief from the cold weather later in the week either. Highs will be in the middle and upper 20s through Friday next week.

If you’re heading the Gophers game tomorrow here’s what your forecast will look like:
